About two dramatic weeks of trekking through the ice-strewn terrain of the stunning Karakorum Mountains. This towering range makes North Pakistan the highest concentration of 8000m+ peaks in the world. On the trip you will ascend nearly a vertical mile in six days; camp on the breathtaking (literally!), 58km long Baltaro Glacier, over which you will be expertly guided in order to reach majestic Concordia. Also known as the Inner Sanctum, Concordia provides an awe-inspiring view of K2, the second highest peak in the world, as well as of the magnificent surrounding peaks, each rivaling K2 at over 8000m high. Surprisingly, no special equipment is required, and, besides commitment, no specific skills are necessary, but you should be able to walk for six to nine hours a day. The trek is designed so that you are part of a small, enthusiastic team, which very much includes porters and local guides.
